The LACEGAL Network is funded by Horizon 2030. It aims at understanding galaxy formation by using numerical simulations (P.Tissera: node coordinator).

July 2023, P. Tissera visited MPA to strength collaboratives projects.

Septembers-October-November 2023: Jenny Gonzalez visited the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics and the University of Durham as part of her PhD thesis.

April 2024: Brian Tapia visited the Max Planck Institute​ of Astrophysics, Garching, to attend the Adonis Workshop and to work with the Auriga SuperStar simulations in collaboration with F. Gomez V. Springel and R. Pakmor.
Visits from European Nodes

Matias Gamez, PhD student of Rosa Dominguez-Tenreiro, from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, visited our group during August 2023 to work on the formation of the Milky Way. He gave a talk on his latest results.

Dr. Sergio Contreras and Dr. Yelti Rosas-Guevara visit us from 4 October to 4 November 2023. They gave IA colloquia on 24 and 31 October.

Nils Hoyer PhD student at the Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC) will visit our group at the IA for two months during 2024.
