Computational Galaxy Formation and Evolution -EVOLGAL4D

Stellar halos  —the faint envelopes of stars surrounding galaxies— are true cosmic archives. They preserve chemical and dynamical signatures that reveal how each galaxy formed and evolved. However, studying them beyond the Milky Way is challenging due to their extremely low surface brightness.
